Ali Jawad is a British Paralympic powerlifter, having previously competed in international-level Judoka, who took gold making a world record lift at the Asian Open Championships in 2013 and became World Champion in his class, setting another world record lift, in 2014. In 2015 he secured another gold medal at the IPC European Powerlifting Championships.
