Getting stronger not only depends on having the correct training stimulus, but also requires good nutritional strategies to optimise recovery and stimulate muscle adaptations. These nutrition strategies do not need to be complicated, but they really can impact the success of a strength training programme. What is protein?

Proteins are part of every cell and tissue in the body, including our muscles. They are made up of twenty-one amino acids which are the building blocks for all the protein in our body. Of these twenty-one amino acids, nine are essential amino acids and can only be obtained through the diet.
