The Debrief: coxing the Tideway

Connie Pidoux talks to Rosie Oates from Junior Rowing News about her tips for getting the best out of the Tideway. Connie has coxed on the Tideway with Imperial, Molesey and Thames, coming third at the Head of the River in 2016. At Henley Royal, she coxed Thames RC to victory in the Thames Challenge Cup in 2015 and then repeated the feat in 2018.

In a fascinating conversation, Connie covers topics such as key calls, communicating with your crew, coxing in a bow loader, race plans and steering on the Tideway through to coping with the pressure and tips for controlling different situations.

Listen to Connie and Rosie talking about coxing strategies here.
